Meckwell

Jeff MECKstroth and Eric RodWELL designed it. A 2N response to a minor suit opening shows game forcing values and may contain one or both four card Majors. Opener rebids

3C = asking partner for four card major.

3NT - signoff in game.

Another, more complex system would be as follows:

3C = if opened one diamond, asking partner for a four card major. If opened 1C, showing 5+ clubs, and an unbalanced hand, with mild slam interest. Responder may choose to try for a club game/slam, bid 3NT, or rebid a four card major with additional values.

3D = if opened 1C, asking partner for a four card major. If opened 1D, showing 5+ diamonds and an unbalanced hand, with mild slam interest. Responder may choose to try for a diamond game/slam, bid 3NT, or rebid a four card major with additional values.
3H = showing a heart control and asking partner to bid 3NT with a spade control.
3S = showing a spade control and asking partner to bid 3NT with a heart control.
3NT = signinf off in game
4C = Either a 6+ clubs suit with slam interest if opened 1C, 5+ clubs if opened 1D, or Gerber, depending upon partnership agreement
4D = 6+ diamond suit if opened 1D, 5+ diamonds if opened 1C
4H = 6/5 minor/hearts.
4S = 6/5 minor/spades
